Why did we build such a big website about one street?

Sheinkin Street has been an icon for alternative Israeli culture and fashion since the mid 1980s. In recent years, as its fame has grown, a number of chain stores have moved in, and the street has become more urban and less hippy. Some say that Sheinkin has lost some of the magic of its early rebellious attitude, and yes it has, but what has been lost has been replaced by a new, evolving generation, who respond to today’s culture of possibility. This is the magic of Sheinkin. It has an itch, a special energy, a determination.

Our aim is to show Sheinkin as it is now in reality.

As Sheinkin Street is very much a shopping street and a vibrant and thriving local community, we have provided both advanced e-commerce for stores on the street, as well as an online magazine and notice board for the community and all our users.
